‘They Watch the Dawn’
(Excerpt from ‘Cramped in that Funnelled Hole’, Wilfred Owen)
In commemoration of the anniversary of the end of WWI, the Rathbone Studio is holding an art exhibition inspired by the words of Wilfred Owen and other WWI war poets.
Exhibition opens Saturday 22 nd September until Saturday 3 rd November 2018.
Open Tuesday to Saturday, 2.00 – 5.00pm. Preview evening Friday 21 st September 4.00 – 7.00pm
The exhibition can also be viewed on the anniversary of Wilfred Owen’s death on Sunday 4 th November. Opening times to be confirmed.
For your work to be included in ‘They Watch the Dawn’, please send details of the poem and poet your artwork is inspired by, size and details of pieces, before Tuesday 4 th September. 2D and/or 3D work will be considered.
Once work has been accepted, the submission deadline is Saturday 15 th September. (Very sorry but no work will be accepted after this date)
To include as many artists as wish to exhibit, there is a restriction for the 2D work to two medium sized paintings per artist.
