Theatre In The Park – Robin Hood

Theatre In The Park – Sherwood Forest moves to Woolton

The curtain is set to go up on an outdoor production at one of Liverpool’s most beautiful parks.

Allerton Tower in Woolton will host The Legend of Robin Hood over July 14 and 15 2007, before the production moves to Stadt Moers park in Knowsley the following weekend. There will be two performances each day.

Presented by Spike Theatre, The Legend of Robin Hood will feature a cast of talented community actors who weave their way around the parks as the story unfolds – hotly pursued by the audience!

Theatre in the Park is a partnership project between Spike Theatre, Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council, the Liverpool Culture Company and Liverpool City Council.

Tickets are on sale now, priced at £6 adults and £4 concessions. There is also a special family ticket available for £15 (two adults and two children). Tickets are available from the 08 Place, Whitechapel, or by calling – (0151) 233 2457. On performance days an onsite box office will operate between 1pm and 7pm.

Spectators are asked to wear suitable footwear, bring a picnic and something to sit on, and – given the unpredictable nature of the British summer – come prepared for the weather!
