7 – 25 November 2012

Opening Wednesday 7 November 6.30-9.00pm
It’s Moving from I to It – Scene 10
What happens when all characters leave the stage
An exhibition by Beatriz Olabarrieta
Background information:
-The Royal Standard invites FormContent to develop a project within the framework of the Liverpool Biennial 2012.
-As part of its current programme It’s Moving from I to It, FormContent commissions Beatriz Olabarrieta to produce a site-specific installation at the Royal StandardLocation:
-The house of the HostCharacters:
-There are no characters in this scene, only some left-overs from previous guests

Scene directions:
-Abandoned objects spread around the space suggest the past presence of some of the characters
-The host provides a service to the objects left in the space rather than approaching them in terms of ownership
-The objects manifest themselves as invasive guests, occupying and extending throughout the space similarly to a parasitical growth
-Through their physical presence and intrusive nature, the objects subvert the Host’s strict division of the space, producing opportunities for leakages and accidental infiltrations, moments of
vulnerability in a pre-ordained environment
