Amanda Cachia, Co-curator of the exhibition in Grand Rapids, Michigan (exhibited April-July 2015 during the DISART Festival) will be joining the conversation by Skype.
Part of DaDaFest International 2014, Art of the Lived Experiment addressed the idea that art and life are in a state of continual change and uncertainty. The magical, transformative and experimental associations of both alchemy and creating art formed the starting point for the exhibition. This discussion will review these and other ideas on the ‘experiments’ that emerged from the exhibition, particularly in relation to the performative and durational works.
