The third Tatton Park Biennial opens in May 2012, with up to 20 new commissions from some of the most innovative artists working nationally and internationally today. Each work will respond to the Biennial theme, ‘Flights of Fancy’, addressing the mechanics of flight, Tatton’s aeronautical legacies and the human ambition to fly, figuratively or metaphorically.

For the second time, the Biennial is inviting artist entries for two Open Competitions:

Open to all designers/artists who currently live and/or work in the North West who are interested in proposing plans for a 2012 interactive and staffed Biennial kiosk.
Open to all artists originally from Cheshire who have completed formal education within the past five years and are proposing a new artwork for the Gardens.

For detailed information on submission requirements, please download the Expression of Interest form here. Please note: the deadline for postal submissions is Friday 30 September 2011.
