Sundays are set to swing at the National Conservation Centre. Visitors to the museum’s café can now enjoy free jazz performances from 12-15.00 every week.
Jazz aficionados Tony! Tony! Tony! will take diners on a journey from Cuba to Chicago, from Bach to Basie, while the Martin Smith quartet are lined up to get crowds into the groove with some cool jazz classics and Latino rhythms.
The musical theme at the venue continues with Now These Days Are Gone. An exhibition featuring photographs by Michael Peto, taken during the filming of the Beatles film Help in 1965. The collection of intimate black and white photographs show the Beatles in a variety of settings – at home, in the studio, relaxing between takes and joking on set. The exhibition continues until 2 March 2008.
