The Science Museum Group is passionate about growing science capital through informal, science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) focussed learning. Linking to this priority, we currently hold the contract for the TransPennine STEM Ambassador Hub via STEM Learning.
The STEM Ambassador Hub manages over 2000 volunteer role models to engage and inspire young people with STEM and STEM careers.
In order to assist our STEM team, we are now recruiting for a STEM Ambassador Support Coordinator, based at the Science and Industry Museum, on a fixed-term contract until March 2020. In this role, your responsibilities will include management and engagement of STEM Ambassadors with the programme, as well as supporting the team to ensure upcoming events are communicated and organised. Working with our team, you will support the management of school/community group requests ensuring all correspondences is courteous and helpful.
You will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service with meticulous attention to detail. You will be well organised with previous experience of working in an administrative or support role. In addition, you will also have excellent team working and interpersonal skills, be willing to step in to support your team as priorities change with the ability to anticipate, identify and resolve problems as they arise.
