Sales and Communications Assistant
Hours: Full time – 40 hours per week
Fixed term until 31 March 2017
Contact is a leading national contemporary arts organisation based in Manchester, with young people at the heart of everything we do. We work locally, nationally and internationally to provide life-changing opportunities for the next generation of creative leaders, artists and audiences, redefining theatre in the process. We produce and present a professional programme of outstanding performances, events and festivals in our building, surprising places and virtual spaces, for a young and diverse audience.

As one of two full time Sales and Communications Assistants your time will be divided between Contact’s Tickets and Information Desk and working as part of the Marketing and Communications Team. You will help to ensure that all sales activity is delivered to a high standard and will provide excellent customer service over the phone and on the counter. In addition the role assists on Communications campaigns for Contact’s programmed events, participatory work and external activity with specific focus on assisting with press and media. You will have excellent communication and customer service skills. You will be pro-active with a positive attitude and have an enthusiasm for the Arts and working with young people. Previous Box Office and ticketing experience is preferred but not essential.
