Personal Assistant to the Chief Executive, Maternity Cover (10 month fixed term contract starting April 2019) – 37.5 hours per week, £22-25,000 per annum subject to experience plus staff benefits

The Lowry is an internationally acclaimed cultural landmark situated at the heart of MediaCityUK, one of the world’s fastest growing and most exciting culture and media destinations.

We are looking for an experienced individual to undertake the role of Personal Assistant to the Chief Executive, Maternity Cover. In this role you will provide dedicated administrative services and support to ensure that the CEO is fully able to carry out her responsibilities and to deliver against the objectives of the organisation.

You will be required to identify, anticipate and proactively support the CEO’s complex workload and activities through comprehensive diary management and a strategic understanding of competing priorities, providing detailed and accurate information and dealing with all enquiries and correspondence to the Chief Executive’s office. The role also supports The Lowry’s Board, Trust and associated committees by arranging meetings and travel, the preparation of organisational business papers and taking minutes of all meetings ensuring robust records are kept.

The ability to prioritise work for self and the Chief Executive in an environment with multiple and competing demands is essential along with experience of attending, preparing agendas and papers and minute taking for meetings. Advanced IT skills and experience of drafting high quality correspondence on behalf of others is essential. The successful candidate will be professional and focussed with the ability to build productive and appropriate relationships with staff and stakeholders, confidently representing the CEO’s office both internally and externally. Discretion, attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure are all essential abilities required for the role.
