Partnerships and Communications Manager, Manchester City Of Literature

This is a new role in an ambitious, new not-for-profit organisation set up to manage Manchester’s UNESCO designation as a City Of Literature. Manchester City Of Literature has been established by a partnership led by Manchester City Council, The University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University.

The Partnerships and Communications Manager role will be to maintain excellent relationships with Manchester City Of Literature’s partnership network of publishers, festivals, writing agencies, libraries, cultural organisations, the education sector and tourism partners; and to help create and implement the marketing and communications plan. This will include preparing print marketing material, website development and updating, engaging our audiences via social media, preparing presentations and case studies and managing and updating the image and video library. Regular communications with partners will include convening stakeholder meetings and working groups, preparing e-publications and in-person briefings.

The post will suit someone with excellent digital and communication skills, with a creative spark, and who is highly methodical, detailed and hard-working. A knowledge and understanding of Manchester’s arts and literature sectors would be a bonus.
