Social Media and Content Creator, Coalesce Dance

Job Description

The Company are looking to recruit a new Social Media and Content Creator to support their upcoming shows, rehearsals and events throughout 2025. This is a freelance role and the right candidate needs to be prepared to work with the company on a weekly basis. 

Roles and responsibilities

  • Weekly posting to social media (All 3 channels, Coalesce Dance Theatre, Coalesce Youth Dance and DanceConnect). 
  • Capturing content and documenting rehearsals, workshops, performances and events 
  • Creating high quality, industry standard social media content for upcoming projects, job roles & new opportunities 
  • Finding innovative ways to increase engagement on social media 
  • Utilising Canva or Adobe Illustrator (as preferred) to develop graphic overlays where needed
  • Regular reporting to the company directors  
  • Responding to company clients / venues who need access to social media and marketing assets 

What we are looking for

  • A Freelancer who can dedicate a minimum of 3 hours per week to this role 
  • Experience or knowledge of working in the dance sector and what content is appropriate in these settings 
  • Prior understanding of how a professional dance company runs, and their day to day activities 
  • A friendly, confident and proactive individual 
  • Organised, with good punctuality and communication skills
  • A high standard of written English

Applicants must be Manchester based, or within commuting distance. 

The successful candidate will be paid an hourly fee, which will be negotiated based on experience. All fees will be paid above minimum wage.
