Marketing & Communications Assistant, FACT

Are you passionate about art, film, and creative technology? We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Marketing and Communications Assistant to join our dynamic team 3 days a week. In this exciting part-time role, you’ll play a vital part in managing customer communications, assisting with impactful campaigns, and maintaining event listings that keep our audiences engaged. Your responsibilities will also include reporting, database management, and supporting content creation for our social media channels and website. 

Salary: Â£13,200 per annum (£22,000 pro rata)

Hours of Work: 21 hours per week (0.6 FTE). This may involve some occasional evening or weekend work, and hours can be flexible to accommodate this. 

Contract: Permanent

What To Expect

  • Assist the Marketing & Communications team with print campaigns by gathering content, proofreading materials, and coordinating with distributors (guidance provided).
  • Help manage customer communications, ensuring event attendees receive updates about changes, cancellations, and waiting lists.
  • Administer audience feedback surveys to collect valuable information from attendees.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to brainstorm and create engaging content for FACT’s social media channels.
  • Work with colleagues and external partners to gather images, text and digital materials for Marketing and Development purposes
  • Upload event details to FACT’s box office system (TicketSource) and website, including cinema listings and hires.
  • Share relevant opportunities with partners and external networks.
  • Assist in compiling reports on public events and attendance figures.
  • Help document FACT events for social media, working closely with the Digital Content & Marketing Officer.
  • Monitor and respond to customer messages and reviews on FACT’s social media and Google platforms. 
  • Support the Marketing & Communications and Development teams with press enquiries and previews, stakeholder visits, and database tasks.

The above should not be regarded as exhaustive or inclusive as there may be other duties associated with the post that FACT Liverpool will require the post holder to perform.

Skills & Experience

Essential skills and experience:

  • Highly organised with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload and deadlines
  • An ability to communicate with people at all levels both internally and externally
  • Able to produce work to a high standard and have meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to create social media content 
  • Demonstrable IT skills with a strong level of proficiency using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Passion for art, film, culture and creative technology

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp 
  • Basic knowledge of website Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • Basic knowledge of a Customer Relations Management (CRM) database
