Drama Workshop Facilitators, Freshwater Theatre Company

Freshwater Theatre Company is seeking experienced and passionate drama workshop leaders to facilitate curriculum-based workshops.  

Applicants must be based in the following regions: Greater London; West Midlands; Manchester/North West. 

Applicants should be versatile practitioners who: 

  • Already have considerable experience of single-handedly leading groups of primary age children; at least 25 children in one group. 
  • Are skilled at engaging and interacting with children through drama activities and storytelling. 
  • Are fully committed to working with young people and believe in the importance of using drama as an educational tool. 
  • Teaching experience is desirable.

We are also interested to hear from facilitators who are fluent French speakers to lead French storytelling workshops in primary schools, and interactive performances in secondary schools. 

All applicants should have an Enhanced DBS check or be prepared to undergo and pay for a DBS check before they can commence work.

Interview and audition:  

Successful candidates will be invited to participate in the next stages of recruitment: 

  •  First round interview via Zoom: Tuesday 29th April – lasting approximately 20 minutes
  • Second round activities-based audition:
    • FOR LONDON CANDIDATES: Wednesday 7th May (afternoon or morning) – in-person in East London. You will need to be available for up to 3 hours
    • FOR NW/WM CANDIDATES:  Thursday 8th May (afternoon) – via Zoom. You will need to be available for up to 3 hours
