Customer Service Advisor, Sefton Council

An opportunity has become available in Customer Services, and we are seeking to recruit a Customer Service Advisor to work from our One Stop Shops in Stanley Road, Bootle and The Atkinson in Southport – the post will be strictly office-based and a requirement to work across both sites.   

The successful candidate will work as part of a wider team of customer service staff offering face-to-face advice to a range of Council services and they will play a key role in providing customers with a high-quality customer service experience.

This role will primarily be responsible for:

  • Assisting with Council Tax, Blue Badge, Parking and Benefit enquiries
  • Ensuring all documents submitted by customers are thoroughly checked and scanned.
  • Updating various core databases and ensuring all aspects of General Data Protection Regulations are maintained.

While working in The Atkinson, most of the enquiries handled will be by appointment and drop-in arrangements are in place when working in Bootle One Stop Shop, Full training will be given to successful candidates who display the customer service qualities we are seeking.
