Children and Youth Support Manager

Who are we: Since 1988, Everton in the Community has become a dynamic force for good, harnessing the unifying power of football to drive social change and addressing societal challenges across Liverpool City Region. Supported by a team of over 130 full-time staff and over 200 volunteers, the independently governed and independently financed charity offers an extensive array of more than 60 programmes and initiatives that tackle a diverse range of social issues.

These programmes cover areas such as health, employability, anti-social behaviour, crime, exploitation, education, dementia, and disability.

About the opportunity: We are looking for an experienced Children & Youth Support Manager to come and join us and play a key role in evolving our portfolio of support programmes, by bringing together teams, partners, and resources to deliver services that positively impact the lives of children and young people.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Youth and Support, you will be responsible for overseeing programme performance, budgets, reporting, and stakeholder relationships. You will also ensure that programmes within the Youth and Support area align with the goals and objectives of EITC’s Trinity Project and  five-year strategy. 

These programmes provide intensive support and positive interventions to individuals facing significant challenges, including homelessness, involvement in criminal activity, struggles within education, or family breakdowns. Our mission is to break the cycle of low aspirations and untapped potential by guiding, inspiring, motivating, and empowering children and young people to build brighter futures.

Who are we looking for: The successful candidate will need previous experience of working with young people in a management, support and youth setting, and  is able to demonstrate patience, empathy and a non-judgemental attitude towards both colleagues and young people.  

Other key Knowledge and Skills will include:  

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. 
  • The ability to co-ordinate and manage programme delivery to a high standard 
  • To communicate timely and professionally with funders and key stakeholders in a professional manner 
  • To be fully IT literate with the ability to use MS Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Moviemaker) 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of different audiences 
  • Full UK driving Licence  

The core hours for this role will be 35 hours worked flexibly across the week including evening work.

Primary locations will be at Goodison Park and the EITC Campus, although you may be required to work at any other location deemed suitable by your manager. 

This opportunity will be offered on a fixed term basis for a 12-month period.
