The Tung Auditorium is a state-of-the-art, high specification concert hall which delivers an outstanding live music performance experience. Situated within the Yoko Ono Lennon Centre with world-class teaching and learning at its heart, The Tung Auditorium celebrates the University¿s cultural contribution to the city and seeks to offer an open and inclusive programme, enhancing engagement with the arts locally, regionally and nationally.
We are seeking skilled and experienced Stage Assistants to assist with the smooth delivery of public concerts and events. This role is ideal for those with experience in orchestral staging, deck building, basic audio or lighting experience, or stage/backline setup who are interested in getting involved with an exciting new venue, delivering an outstanding audience and artist experience across a varied and constantly changing programme.
This role is ad hoc and shift based, allocated according to the requirements of concerts and events which will not follow a regular pattern. For this reason, this role is a zero hours contract with shifts allocated by rota one month in advance. Some events will take place during office hours; however, the majority are expected to be during evenings and weekends.
We are conscious that there is a lack of diversity within the music industry and in Higher Education, and we therefore particularly encourage applications from individuals who self-identify as members of groups who are often under-represented.
The School is committed to the University¿s Diversity and Equality agenda and in 2021 has been awarded Athena SWAN Bronze status and is now working towards Silver.
Commitment to Diversity
The University of Liverpool is committed to enhancing workforce diversity. We actively seek to attract, develop, and retain colleagues with diverse backgrounds and perspectives. We welcome applications from all genders/gender identities, Black, Asian, or Minority Ethnic backgrounds, individuals living with a disability, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
