Eden Arts are an award-winning artist-led organisation dedicated to inspiring change and enriching lives through cultural initiatives, strategic projects, events, and festivals.
Eden Arts are grounded in Cumbria, and work across the North of England. We are engaged with and foster a culture of debate and discussion on key issues affecting the world.Â

We are specifically seeking an individual to work on digital design and communications to effectively reach our wide range of audiences.
Projects
Some of our live/ongoing projects for 2024:
– The Winter Droving
Winter Droving is the biggest town festival in the Penrith and Eden Valley calendar, attracting 20k+ visitors with an international cultural programme.
– Picnic Cinema
The North’s no.1 outdoor cinema. Picnic Cinema is event cinema. It’s a party, a camp-over, a festival vibe with cult and classic films in unusual locations.
– Cine North
Cine North is about bringing the community together in rural areas through cinema events. But, it’s not just about watching a film. It’s much, much more.
– The Faeries
Top secret research project looking into where Faeries can be found and what their different forms are.
– The #66 Culture Programme
A programme of spectacle, professional development, production, and celebration working with international, national, and regional artists and producers. Covering the area between Cumbria’s West coast and the East Coast of Redcar and Cleveland.
Key Responsibilities
– Working with the Director to develop artwork and design assets for the Charity and for specific projects. Working quickly to short deadlines. Some knowledge and use of Photoshop and InDesign required. Video editing would be useful too.
– Overseeing the social media and understanding the language used on each platform. Able to change tone based on the project and adapt to the Eden Arts style and language used. Platforms currently used include: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Mailchimp, but knowledge of TikTok and YouTube also useful.
– Support project delivery such as task prioritisation, working to deadlines, achieving objectives, licencing, undertaking risk assessments and being responsible for health and safety relating to projects.
– Contribute and generate creative ideas and responses to project ideas, working closely with the Eden Arts team.
– Collate data and complete monitoring and evaluation tasks as advised by the Operations Manager.
– Provide relevant information to the Director and Operations Manager to ensure the reporting to the Arts Council England and other funders is completed.
– Support the promotion of our projects through social media as well as traditional print media.
The Project Officer role will ensure that as much of the world as possible knows about Eden Arts and what it does. This role will be responsible for maintaining and growing new audiences and participants and reaching under-represented audiences. You will create and deliver marketing and engagement strategies for all Eden Arts projects and be across all Eden Arts social media channels telling our story.

Line Management: N/A
Salary Range: £25,000 – £28,000 (pro-rata)
Working Week Days: Flexible
Hours: 22.5 hrs (3 days) per week
Please note some weekend work might be required to support project delivery.
Contract: this is a fixed term role starting asap and will run until end of November 2024. Possibility of contract extension subject to funding and suitability.
