The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts is recognised as a world leading centre of excellence for creative learning and vocational training within the performing arts and creative economies. We enjoy an international and national reputation for the quality of our teaching, our world class facilities and an enviable track record of graduate employment and alumni successes.

As an Institute and a venue, we present a busy public performance schedule during both term time and holiday periods. We are looking to recruit a Deputy Venue Manager to support our Venue Manager across the full year and assume a duty management role on many of these events and performances. Key responsibilities include the box office and ticketing operations, graphic design of printed programmes and working on special events.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent and experience of working with the public, in a Front of House role. You will be willing to act as a Duty Manager when the public are on-site and work collaboratively with other teams on projects. The confidence in understanding and managing a 300+ seat venue is essential, and you will ideally have a good working knowledge of the theatre industry and the common processes and legislation that relate to it. You will be prepared to undertake First Aid and Fire Marshall training, and capable of taking responsibility for the safety of the public and coordinating any potential evacuations.

In return we offer a highly creative working environment that will inspire you to fulfil your potential and training opportunities to develop your skills and experience, pension, and complimentary tickets to our inhouse productions.

This is a permanent post to commence as soon as possible.
