This new role offers you the opportunity to use your skills in the creative environment of Tate Liverpool, one of the largest galleries of modern and contemporary art outside of London. Based on the Albert Dock since 1988, we show the Tate Collection of modern and contemporary art in new and innovative ways alongside ambitious temporary exhibitions.

In this key post you will support all aspects of Tate Liverpool’s budget planning and monitoring while helping to develop a range of entrepreneurial financial processes and strategies. It’s a chance to work closely with the Executive Director at Tate Liverpool as well as Tate London’s Finance and Enterprises teams. Tenacious and organised in your approach, you will manage our day-to-day budget process, undertake financial analysis and external benchmarking to inform strategy development and maintain internal financial controls for external audit, including Creative Europe.

You’ll come to us with a proven track record of budget management and financial planning, ranging from small start-up projects to ongoing business turnover of over £5m. Creative and entrepreneurial, with a flair for using analysis and commercial insight to deliver budgets on target and support others to drive income generation, you will be familiar with Agresso or a similar accounting package. Strong influencing skills, a collaborative working style with the ability to develop effective working relationships at all levels and engage people in new ways of thinking and working are essential. Experience of the financial management of EU grant processes would be desirable.

This position is offered on a fixed-term contract of up to 22 months with the possibility of an extension.
