Call for Submissions: Short Films for Fringe Flicks Season 3
We’re excited to announce the call for submissions for Fringe Flicks Season 3, starting Friday, 5th June 2025. Fringe Flicks is a bi-monthly celebration of short, independent, and experimental films, curated by People Versus TV CIC in Liverpool.
We are seeking unique, subversive, surreal, and unconventional films from creators of all backgrounds. Whether you’re an emerging filmmaker or an experienced video artist, we want to see your work! Films that are weird, anarchic, absurd, experimental, or thought-provoking are encouraged. We’re also particularly keen to explore films from Merseyside and beyond.
Why Submit? Your work will be showcased alongside like-minded filmmakers and creatives in an inclusive and supportive environment. Screenings take place at DoES Liverpool in the Fabric District, featuring a mix of shorter films and a featured short. In addition, submissions are free for filmmakers based in Merseyside, as well as for filmmakers from Iran and Africa, helping us expand our platform for local and international voices.
Submission Details:
- Films of all lengths (up to 90 minutes) are welcome.
- Work can be in any language, but non-English films must include subtitles (burnt-in or .srt file).
- Films previously shown online or at other events are accepted, provided they haven’t been shown at a Fringe Flicks event before.
- Free submission categories are available for films up to 30 minutes from Merseyside, Iran, and Africa.
- Deadline: 2nd April 2025
