Independents Biennial 2018: Voluntary Invigilators
Art in Liverpool are seeking committed, enthusiastic volunteers with a passion for visual arts to join the 2018 Independents Biennial team of invigilators. You will be the welcoming, friendly face of the festival who’ll be able to answer visitor questions and act as an ambassador for the festival by promoting forthcoming events.
As an Volunteer with Independents Biennial you will have access to exclusive training and skills sharing days with some of the North West’s most prominent artists and facilitators, built around your own own needs at the beginning of the volunteer programme. There are also opportunities to exhibit within the festival, gain experience working in a marketing team, support the development of other volunteers and the festival, or even gain curating experience with our festival artists.
You will be based at one of the festival’s core venues where you’ll be responsible for the security of the festival exhibitions and safety of the public. There will also be chance to assume an Artist Liaison role and support festival events. You’ll play a key role in shaping the festivals future by reporting back to the Art in Liverpool team about audience statistics and response.
Volunteers must be aged 18+ and available for the festival dates which are 14th July – 28th October 2018. You’ll be required to work a minimum of 1 shift (8 hour shifts with an hour long lunch break) per fortnight and to participate in the festivals Volunteer Development Programme.
To get involved, please complete the short online application form here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/QXXTQSF
All of our volunteers will be asked to attend a briefing session on either Wednesday 4th or Thursday 5th July. We will be in touch after the deadline has passed to make these arrangements.
Deadline to apply: Rolling until  October 2018
If you have any questions, please contact Hayley Greggs at volunteer@artinliverpool.com.
