Port Sunlight Village Trust (PSVT) is an independent charity founded in 1999. We are guardians of a unique and beautiful village, working with its community to ensure a great quality of life for residents and to celebrate William Lever’s amazing legacy through cultural and learning experiences for all.
In 2019 PSVT launched its first 5-year strategic plan, articulating an exciting new vision and direction for the organisation and historic village. We are now looking for a volunteer manager to help us to achieve our ambitious plans by embedding a new approach to volunteering.
This is a brand-new post, integral to PSVT’s ‘Brighter Future for Port Sunlight’ project, which is funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Over the next 12 months, this project will strengthen PSVT’s income generation potential and facilitate the development of an enhanced offer for visitors, village residents and the wider local community. It represents the organisation’s first steps in realising our new vision for Port Sunlight, ‘to be an inspiring place to live, work and visit’.
As Volunteer Manager, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of PSVT’s five new principles of volunteering, which are: person-centered; one-team; community-focussed; participation; and best practice. You will be an important member of PSVT’s Heritage Team. However, you will be required to work across all teams at PSVT.
At PSVT our values drive our actions and behaviours, so if integrity, respect, knowledge, passion, creativity and participation are vital to you in your work then we could be a great match.
For an application pack contact PSVT on 0151 644 4800 or recruitment@portsunlightvillage.com. For an informal conversation call Katherine Lynch, PSVT’s Director of Heritage, on 0151 644 4816 or email k.lynch@portsunlightvillage.com. More information about PSVT and the village is available on our websites portsunlightvillage.comand portsunlightresidents.com
The closing date for completed applications is 10am Wednesday 24th July. Interviews will take place on Thursday 1st August 2019.
