35 hours per week. Permanent.
The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) champions better buildings, communities and the environment through architecture and its members. In June 2017 the RIBA opened RIBA North, a National Architecture Centre on the Liverpool Waterfront with three Gallery spaces, a changing programme of temporary exhibitions and events, The Digital City Model, a design led shop and shortly, a new café.
As Visitor Assistant based at RIBA North, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and guests, providing excellent customer and visitor services and ensuring our audience has an exceptional experience. You will be responsible for welcoming visitors, providing information about our exhibitions, events and tours and guiding people through the centre. You will also be responsible for making sales in the RIBA North shop, encouraging visitors to complete our visitor questionnaire and upselling activities such as RIBA City Tours and events.
This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in the delivery of an exciting new visitor offer on the Liverpool Waterfront, getting visitors excited about the benefits of good design and exceptional architecture.
Our successful candidate will have experience working in galleries, museums or other visitor destinations. They will be an excellent and friendly communicator with an enthusiasm for architecture and culture.
