Crisis Skylight Merseyside is currently looking for a sessional tutor to join the team and deliver approximately five sessions a week in various outreach venues to homeless and vulnerably housed people.
The sessions could include, but not confined to, any of these technical skills disciplines – e.g. barbering, hair, nails and makeup, horticulture, bike maintenance, car valeting or furniture restoration etc. These sessions will complement our current offer of construction and catering and hospitality.
In this role you will be responsible for supporting and delivering a range of practical sessions to clients on an outreach basis. Delivering sessions and one or more of the above mentioned disciplines, you will deliver sessions to reflect the needs of learners and support clients to gain accreditation to reflect their achievements as appropriate.
With a passion for learning, creativity and innovation you will have the ability to teach effectively across the ability range whilst developing some of your own learning materials to support the delivery of practical sessions.
You will hold, or be willing to work towards an appropriate adult teaching qualification with recent industry experience in your chosen field and have delivered a technical activity, ideally with in a community or adult education setting.
Contract is a sessional tutur contract, delivering approximately 5 hours per week at an hourly rate of £20.55
