Crisis is recruiting for a Technical Skills Coordinator to develop and deliver an engaging and varied programme for members across Merseyside. This is an exciting role which will give the post holder the opportunity to deliver activities in their specialist area as well as planning and overseeing the delivery of the programme.
The Technical Skills Coordinator will develop a diverse programme to include woodwork, plumbing, plastering, horticulture, and cookery, to support homeless and vulnerably housed people to develop their technical skills, confidence, self-esteem and inter-personal skills.
The successful candidate will have a formal qualification and demonstrable experience of practical application in a technical skills discipline, in addition to holding or working toward a practical teaching or assessment qualification.
With experience of working with vulnerable clients, or an understanding of the issues affecting homeless people, the ideal candidate will be committed to empowering homeless people through the development of life and social skills and participation in engagement and learning activities.
