Super Slow Way is part of Creative People and Places, a national action research programme funded by Arts Council England to test out new and experimental approaches to arts and cultural activity to build audiences and participants in areas currently shown to have low levels of engagement. This exciting and innovative £2 million arts programme is being shaped by the people of Blackburn with Darwen, Burnley, Hyndburn and Pendle collaborating with local, national and international artists and arts organisations. In brief, we are here to make art happen and in making art happen, transform lives and places.
We are now looking for a Programme Administrator to join us and play a key role in supporting the delivery of our activity in Pennine Lancashire. You will play a central role in supporting the day to day management of all Super Slow Way activity including office management, event co-ordination, marketing and engagement activity.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience of managing the administration of a programme of this scale, particularly the management and control of programme expenditure and cashflow, and experience of using SAP or similar to raise purchase orders and manage budgets. You will have experience of developing effective office systems and providing logistical support for events; above all, you will be a team player with exceptional communication skills at all levels.
The post-holder will be employed by the Canal and River Trust on behalf of Super Slow Way and will become part of a committed and passionate team based in Burnley, Lancashire.
This is a full time role (37hr per week) and a fixed-term post to October 2017.
Starting salary: £20,000
