The Faculty of Arts is a creative and vibrant community providing exciting opportunities for students to explore their subject and achieve their potential. As part of a strategic plan to enhance the portfolio within Art and Design we are seeking a motivated, experienced Photography professional, with HE knowledge and practise, to come and join our experienced team in developing a new programme suite in Art & Design including Photography.

The new programme will build on existing strengths in Fine Art, Design and Media with the aim of equipping students will the skills, knowledge and experience to become significant practitioners of Photography.

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer to contribute to the development of Photography within Art & Design which will have its first cohort of students in September 2016 and to contribute to delivery within our current provision. This is a rare opportunity to shape and develop a new programme in a supportive, collaborative and ambitious environment. If you have a passion for your subject and enabling students to develop as skilled, creative and critical practitioners – then we want to hear from you.

You will have:
– Master’s Degree or equivalent qualification
– Have or be nearing completion of a Doctorate or equivalent relevant professional qualification / experience
– Significant professional experience in Photography
– Successful, relevant teaching experience taking account of developments in learning and teaching
