The Department of Art and Design is a vibrant and established element of the University of Chester, providing undergraduate and
postgraduate programmes for Fine Artists, Photographers and Graphic Designers based at the recently refurbished Kingsway site in Newton, Chester.
The Department seeks to appoint a well-qualified, experienced and highly committed Senior Lecturer in Fashion Design. The post is to lead and develop the new Fashion Design programme in the department and will include the establishment of a programme delivery team, the identification of appropriate resources and the detail construction of the curriculum experience for the students. The successful candidate will be fully committed to working in higher education and have a sound knowledge of contemporary fashion design practice. The successful candidate will undertake pastoral duties in support of students as required. They will consolidate and develop external partnerships and professional / industrial relationships and engage with scholarship / research/knowledge transfer / income generating projects.
Applicants should have a relevant first degree and a masters qualification or equivalent.
