Role
We welcome applications for the role of Senior Lecturer on the BA (Hons) Fine Art and Art History award at the Manchester School of Art. We are looking for candidates who have a demonstrable track record in learning and teaching and who are committed to research at the highest level.
The Fine Art and Art History award sits within the Department of Art, the staff team is made up of a community of academics all of whom are practising artists, theorists or curators. We have a strong emphasis on research, which informs development of the curriculum at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for candidates from all areas of contemporary fine art practice, who are able to develop studio teaching, which is informed by art theory, and are able to develop relationships between studio teaching and art history. We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate currency of knowledge and their ability to lead areas of the curriculum whilst contributing to the wider academic team. We are committed to a student centred curriculum that challenges and supports our students throughout their course.
