Senior Development Manager (Trusts and Foundations), Royal Northern College of Music

This is an exciting opportunity to join the RNCM’s dynamic development team.

The Senior Development Manager (Trusts and Foundations) will join a successful, well-established and driven trust fundraising operation, which raises £500-600k per annum. The postholder will be responsible for building and managing relationships with a portfolio of Trusts and Foundations, and writing applications to secure grants of up to £75k. The postholder will also manage legacy income to the RNCM, and oversee the annual process of allocating named scholarships and bursaries to students. S/he must be a strategic thinker, who can develop funding approaches that will support key institutional plans and projects, and an exceptional writer who can craft compelling proposals and reports. The postholder must also be a gifted and sensitive communicator, able to represent the College with major donors, legators, grant managers and local stakeholders.

You will be joining a team of passionate, committed fundraisers. Your role will be to nurture existing relationships and secure new ones to support the RNCM’s ambitious fundraising goals. You will enjoy working closely with colleagues and students to develop outstanding fundraising bids, and relish the challenge of encapsulating complex plans in a persuasive, direct way. You will be target-driven and enjoy working in a fast paced environment with colleagues who are committed to success. This is a team which has doubled its fundraised income in 4 years and we are seeking a capable and ambitious colleague who can make a key contribution.
