About You

We are looking for a highly motivated information/library professional with experience of successfully engaging researchers with the resources and services of an academic library.

To be successful you will have experience of using research services and systems, and an understanding of scholarly communication processes; a high level of understanding of the research life cycle and delivering research support, training and development management are also essential.

With the proven ability to initiate projects and work collaboratively across a complex organisation, you will demonstrate the skills of an effective communicator with the ability to negotiate to achieve successful outcomes.

About the Role

You will manage a small team of staff from Learning Services and work collaboratively across the University to develop research services. You will play a key role in determining the strategic direction of research support services for academic staff and research students.

In return you will have the chance to shape the future development of this newly created role and make a significant contribution to the work of Learning Services and more broadly, the University, and play a key role in driving the research agenda at Edge Hill.
