Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art (CFCCA) is seeking a Research Curator to work closely with a small and dynamic team of staff as well as external partners to position us as a leading authority and centre of excellence for Chinese contemporary visual culture.

You will do this by leading on the development of research activities through joint initiatives with our higher education partners to include conferences, workshops and publications. You will contribute to the development of our artistic programme to ensure our work is informed by research, and increase critical engagement through managing our resources effectively and improving access.

Working closely with the School of Arts and Media at the University of Salford, the CFCCA Research Curator will develop and maintain the partnership between our institutions including the development of new projects and our jointly held collection of Chinese contemporary art.

CFCCA has a diverse and rich 30 year history of supporting both national and international audiences and also local communities to understand more about Chinese contemporary art, culture and society. We create meaningful encounters between artists and audiences through a lively public programme of exhibitions, artist residencies, engagement projects and events both on site and in partnership with other cultural institutions.

Please note the successful candidate will be required to work across both CFCCA and the University of Salford sites.

Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art is an Equal Opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.

The deadline for applications to be received is Friday 23rd September 2016 at 12pm.

Please note that late applications will not be accepted.

Interviews will take place at Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art on Tuesday 4th October 2016.
