Manchester office  Â
Salary £30,884 per annum plus excellent benefits             Â
Contract: Permanent, working 35 hours per weekÂ
The north is home to many leading music venues, orchestras and festivals. It is famed for its contemporary music scene and many of the world’s greatest performers tour into the area.
The Arts Council invests in a diverse range of music activity including opera, classical, jazz, and many other contemporary genres. As music education fund holder on behalf of the Department for Education, the Arts Council is also responsible for monitoring the network of local Music Education Hubs, ensuring that every child of school age has access to high quality music education.
There is now a vacancy for a Relationship Manager in the Arts Council’s Music Team based in Manchester. This is a full time, permanent position. Candidates should be able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge and experience of music; we would particularly welcome applications from candidates who have professional experience working in a music organisation or for the music industry and also those who have experience in music education.
The role will involve managing client relationships with music organisations, data analysis and report writing, assessment of funding applications and client monitoring. As a Relationship Manager for the Arts Council in Manchester you will also be expected to engage with a broad range of cross-cutting agendas, including diversity, engagement and learning, and to be a confident communicator with a range of stakeholders.
Candidates will be expected to evidence an appropriate level and range of professional experience and to demonstrate an up-to-date knowledge of the north’s wider arts scene, arts policy and the wider international context.
