Are you excited by museums and historic buildings? Can you plan, coordinate, and supervise a capital development scheme?
Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery in Carlisle is a popular, ambitious and successful regional museum with a forward-thinking manifesto and internationally important collections. The museum has been an independent charitable Trust since 2011, it leads the NPO funded Cumbria Museum Consortium and has a range of impressive partners including the British Museum and the Universities of Cumbria and Lancaster.
The museum has recently undertaken a comprehensive Masterplanning project (Project Tullie), which aims to strengthen organisational resilience over the next 20 years, building on a model of excellence and community established during the past three years.
The museum is looking to employ a Project Development Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme and Development and be responsible for the overall co-ordination and in supporting the implementation of Project Tullie, the museum’s capital development scheme.
There will be a particular focus on project managing funding applications and processes, coordinating the design team, project recruitment and liaising with stakeholders, funders and the Project Steering Group.
The successful candidate will have an interest in museums and historic buildings and will thrive on taking ownership and working collaboratively with colleagues and external partners on exciting and challenging culturally significant Listed Building projects. A keen eye for detail is essential, as is pragmatic and proactive approach to engaging key stakeholders and communities alike.
Application closes at 12 noon, Wednesday 19 February 2020, with interviews taking place on Tuesday 25 February 2020.
