Do you have experience of researching, planning and supporting learning programmes, events and activities in informal or formal educational settings? Are you looking to develop a broad range of skills and experience in producing inspirational educational programmes and events?
Our Learning team Production Coordinators provide the production support needed to deliver live and digital events, activities and programmes to a range of museum audiences on and off site.
As a Production Coordinator based at the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester, you will be reporting to Learning Producers and working alongside Senior Explainers, to ensure that our learning activities and events for schools, families, adults and community groups are planned and delivered smoothly, successfully and safely.
In this role you will help to organise learning experiences for all audiences across the museum and beyond, using audience research and other research to inform your practice. You will develop a broad range of skills and experience in producing inspirational educational programmes and events and in contractor management.
You will be trained in our science capital-informed approach and will understand how to apply this in practice. Through training you will help develop the range of skills needed and you will gain insights into the operations of a large visitor facing team. Your focus will be on administration, planning and production, but where needed you will also be able to support delivery and work directly with museum visitors.
