We are appointing a new Principal and Chief Executive Officer to take over from our Founder, who will be changing his role within the LIPA Learning Group from 1st September 2021.
We are one of the UK’s leading performing arts institutions. We enjoy a global reputation for the quality of our teaching, our world class facilities and an enviable track record of graduate employment and international awards of all kinds. Our finances are stable, recruitment is strong and our teaching is excellent (TEF: Gold). As our Lead Patron, Sir Paul McCartney remarked, we are ‘One of the best performing arts schools in the world’.
We need a leader who can combine both strategic vision and personal qualities to lead us firmly forward.
You will provide leadership in delivering our strategic plan in line with our ethos and values set by LIPA Council (our governing body), establishing targets and systematically reviewing performance against these targets.
You will possess a successful track record of achievement and leadership in higher education or a related field, including within a specialist performing arts institution or organisation.
As well as the ability to lead with vision, ambition and integrity, you should be able to manage senior staff each charged with delivering important strategic tasks and functions.
We are a unique institution, so the position offers both challenge and reward.
