The Garrick Academy of Performing Arts is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Teaching Assistant to add to its successful Saturday teaching team.
Working with young people, aged 8-18 years, we are seeking a committed and experienced individual who must be competent across dance, drama and singing (two of the three skills are required), passionate and have a history of working with children in a performing arts environment.
During the course of the year you may be called upon to devise new work, or co-direct a play or a musical, with any one of our three age groups, and a range of theatre and musical theatre skills is required.
Being a team player is essential at the GAPA, as is being able to commit to every session we offer the teacher, and our teaching hours are 9.00 am – 1.30 pm, Saturdays, term time (three terms of ten consecutive weeks, plus some possible additional hours during show weeks) and we offer £16 per teaching hour.
The role will commence from January 16th, 2016, and you will be joining us half-way through the rehearsal process of our latest production.
