Art in Liverpool are running the Independents Biennial 2018 between July and October 2018. We are now looking to appoint a Part-Time Marketing Coordinator to support the delivery of the festival.
Independents Biennial is focussed on bringing contemporary visual art to audiences around the city region on the fringe of Liverpool Biennial, celebrating the artistic talent that lives and works in the North West. With exhibitions and events planned to take place around the entire Liverpool City Region this is a key role, coordinating the voice of the festival.
Working two days a week, from home, or Art in Liverpool’s city centre office base, the successful applicant will be managing marketing budgets, PR and working closely with, festival supporters, One Fell Swoop to build a marketing strategy with a local and national reach.

The role of the Marketing Coordinator is available between April and July 2018 as a temporary position, with the potential to extend the contract subject to further funding.
If the successful applicant does not have access to the appropriate software or hardware, we can provide company equipment for the duration of the project. Art in Liverpool hope to build a team that represents the diversity of the region, so we encourage applications for all areas of the community.

Role responsibilities:
- Developing a marketing strategy for Independents Biennial 2018
- Coordinating & Delivering the marketing strategy for Independents Biennial 2018
- Responsible for social media of Independents Biennial 2018, and Art in Liverpool’s perennial channels
- Writing copy for marketing and PR purposes
- Developing PR plans alongside One Fell Swoop (a project marketing partner supporting mailouts and PR activities)
- Design & layouts for promotional materials, working with the magazine editor to ensure Independents Biennial presence in all publications
- Working directly with galleries, artists & organisations involved with the festival to establish a clear and visible festival
- Supporting further sponsorship and funding applications for Independents Biennial, and Art in Liverpool C.I.C.
