Lecturer – BA (Hons) Printed Textiles & Surface Pattern Design, Leeds College of Art

Position: Lecturer – BA (Hons) Printed Textiles & Surface Pattern Design
Salary: £30,434 – £34,233 pro rata (£18,260 – £20,540)
Hours: Part Time (0.6 FTE)
Contract: Permanent

With multiple national and international student accolades, the highly successful and ambitious BA (Hons) Printed Textiles & Surface Pattern Design degree provides a specialist and challenging programme of study that recognises the diverse range of creative practices and industries. With an excellent reputation, the programme is highly sought after, attracting a competitive student profile.

Following an internal promotion an opportunity has arisen for the role of Lecturer on the programme. The role involves working with the Head of Department and other team members to help plan, design, deliver and organise the programme. You will have the skills or connections to develop links for external engagement and including amongst others, live briefs, competitions, and curriculum visits to offer an excellent student experience. Working individually and as a member of a team you will be expected to deliver teaching within a variety of settings including workshops, individual tutorials, seminars and lectures with a large audience.

The successful candidate will need to be educated to a minimum of degree level in a relevant subject, demonstrate experience of teaching at undergraduate level; and have extensive knowledge and expertise appropriate to Printed Textiles & Surface Design as a discipline including emergent innovations, and contemporary contexts.
