The School of the Arts are looking for an experienced Animation and Illustration tutor familiar with a diverse range of media communications and a sound understanding of moving image techniques from the traditional and autographic to digital applications. The suitably qualified candidate will be expected to contribute to the delivery and future
development of the existing BA (Hons) Animation and Illustration programme in the modular degree scheme.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach at any level, which may include Foundation Level/Year 0, M.A and PhD programme, using a variety of methods such as lectures, seminars, workshops and supervision of projects.
It would be an advantage that the successful candidate has professional experience in the field of Animation and Illustration.
A good honours degree in a relevant subject is essential as is the willingness to hold/obtain a teaching qualification and/or PhD. A postgraduate degree would be desirable.
The ability to deal sympathetically with students is essential, as is the ability to work effectively as a collaborative team member.
Salary in the range of £34,233 – £39,685 per annum
