About You

You will have a good relevant honours degree along with higher qualifications and / or professional experience. As an enquiring, enterprising and creative practitioner with a passion for the subject you will demonstrate a sound understanding of the role of arts education. You will demonstrate a commitment to research–led excellent teaching and have the capacity to inspire and support diverse groups of students. It would be an advantage to have expertise in the following areas: Theories of Western Dance Theatre and studio practice in a range of contemporary dance styles which would include Ballet and Dance for Musical Theatre.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a dynamic and developing department with progressive and innovative approaches to teaching and learning, and sector leading facilities.

About the Role

You will play a significant role in the delivery of the Single Hons Dance, and Dance for Musical Theatre programmes across its provision including theory and practice. The post will demand innovative approaches to the teaching of performance, a committed attitude to student support and a requirement to engage in research or creative practice.
