Head of Development/Fundraising

Bluecoat, Liverpool’s centre for the contemporary arts is seeking a senior fundraising professional with a proven track record of securing significant income to join the dynamic team shaping Bluecoat’s future.

This year, Bluecoat celebrated 300 years of its distinctive Grade One listed building, the oldest in Liverpool city centre. The tercentenary celebrations provided us with a unique opportunity to share our rich heritage, to engage with new artists, audiences and stakeholders and, in dialogue, to create a new vision for Bluecoat.  We are now entering an exciting period of development as a centre for artists at the heart of the city, with ambitious plans to extend the impact and reach of our work and to enhance the presentation and sustainability of our building.

The incoming Head of Development/Fundraising will be a key player in helping to realise this vision, working closely with the Chief Executive to set and achieve challenging targets.    The successful candidate will bring a strategic approach and mobilise the enthusiasm and energy of Bluecoat’s committed staff, board and supporters to increase funding from philanthropic and corporate sources, develop opportunities for individuals to give regularly at all levels, including legacies, establish brand-appropriate relationships with the corporate world and capitalise on the potential to grow income from Trusts and Foundations.
