Freelance Production Managers (Open Call Out), Manchester International Festival
- Closes: 30th October 2020
- Type: Part time
- Salary: Paid (£25k-30k pro rata)
- Contact: recruitment@mif.co.uk
We’re looking for a number of Freelance Production Managers to work with us on Manchester International Festival (MIF) in 2021. We are particularly looking for people with experience in live events, Music, Theatre and Art installations.
MIF invites great artists from across the globe to create extraordinary new work for the Festival, which is staged every two years at venues and found spaces across Manchester. Our future home is The Factory, a world-class cultural space being built in the heart of the city, where we’ll present a year-round programme and artists will be able to develop work of huge ambition and scale that they might not be able to anywhere else.
We want to bring together a talented pool of people to support the work we’re doing now and to help us prepare for The Factory, reaching out into every corner of Manchester and harnessing the talent and energy that is found across the city and beyond.
At MIF we work hard to deliver an internationally important creative and cultural programme, which takes dedication but is incredibly rewarding, so we need committed and passionate people to join our team.
We match the right people to the right projects, which means your start date and contract length will depend on the project you work on – you could be working on the MIF21 and/or touring MIF productions to co-commissioner or other venues outside the Festival period.
If you’re interested in being part of MIF and The Factory please email a cover letter and CV to interest@mif.co.uk. The covering letter (no more than two sides of A4) should tell us
1. the area(s) you are interested in working in (live events, Music, Theatre and Art installations)
2. why you are interested in working with MIF
3. What skills and experience you are able to contribute
We also ask that you complete our online Equal Opportunities Monitoring form – here.
This information will inform us as we continue to build diversity and opportunity into everything we do.
