Freelance Lecturing opportunities at ICTheatre, part of the BIMM Institute Group of Colleges

Expressions of Interest: Lecturers in Higher and Further Education

Contractual Hours: Freelance, variable hours depending on subject area and student numbers.

We are looking for experienced lecturers as well as industry experts who may be new to teaching to work with us on a Freelance basis.

We particularly encourage applications from disabled people and people from black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, as these groups are currently under-represented in the creative industries.

We have opportunities for regular teaching from September 2020 as well as cover teaching/deputising and guest lecturing on an ad hoc basis.

Subject areas: Breakdance, funk and freestyle choreography, commercial and heels, singing/rap/spoken word, digital music production, rhythm and speech, hip hop theatre, ballet, jazz, acting through song, music analysis, singing 1:1, group singing technique, contemporary dance, tap, laban, pure movement, voice and text, storytelling through movement, acting, text analysis, acting for screen, acting for video games, meisner technique, phonetics, motion capture performance

ICTheatre provides internal training and professional development for all lecturers, especially those new to teaching. Having a Postgraduate qualification (Level 7 or 8) is advantageous, but not essential as hands-on industry experience and connections are key to our teaching practice.

If you are interested in joining our growing team of lecturers and becoming part of an institute that takes an active and passionate role in educating the next generation of creative professionals, please send us your Expression of Interest application alongside your current CV.

We are committed to establishing a culture of inclusivity across BIMM Institute, so that we truly represent the diversity of our students and the creative industries, both in what we teach and how we work.
