Job title:Â Community Fundraising and Communications Officer
Payment: £150 per day. Freelance 2 days per week.
Responsible to:Â Global Grooves SMT
Responsible for:Â Stakeholder Management
Contract:Â Minimum 6 month fixed-term freelance contract with possibility of extension.
Location:Â The Vale, Unit 2 Vale Mill, Micklehurst Road, Mossley, OL5 9JL.
Hours: General office hours are 10.00 – 18.00, but evenings and weekends may occasionally be required for which Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) is offered by agreement of the SMT.
Travel:Â Sometimes overnight stays are required, as well as occasional evenings and weekends. We would consider amending this post to suit working parents or carers that require shorter working hours.
Probation period:Â 2 months
Global Grooves is entering an exciting period of development as we undertake a major capital project to create ‘The Vale’ – a stunning new Centre of Excellence for Carnival Arts in the North.
To achieve this vision we’re is seeking to appoint an experienced and versatile Community Fundraising and Communications Officer, who will plan and deliver a community fundraising and strategic communications/advocacy programme.
This will include producing events, building a network of donors/supporters and raising awareness of our capital project regionally/nationally. The Community Fundraising and Communications Officer will also develop Global Grooves’ wider relationships with audiences and stakeholders, keeping people informed about our work through inspiring words and images.
