Finance Assistant, Contact Theatre Closes

Finance Assistant, Contact Theatre

Salary: £17,500 per annum

Hours: 35 Hours per Week

Contract: Full-Time

Contact has a long-standing commitment to diversity in its programming, producing, staffing and community engagement. We actively seek applications from the widest range of applicants.

Contact is a leading national contemporary theatre and arts organisation based in Manchester, with young people at the heart of everything we do. We work locally, nationally and internationally to provide life-changing opportunities for the next generation of creative leaders, artists and audiences, redefining theatre in the process. We produce and present a professional programme of outstanding performances, events and festivals in our building, surprising places and virtual spaces, for a young and highly diverse audience.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Finance team at Contact as we prepare to move back to our Oxford Road home, which is currently undergoing a major £6.5m expansion and refurbishment project to transform our spaces and infrastructure. The Finance team at Contact is highly dynamic, and you will be supported by the Finance Manager to gain experience in a wide range of finance functions, including purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control, balance sheet reconciliations, payroll, month-end processes and preparing sales reports – full training will be provided.  We are a charity, focused on helping young people change their lives through the arts, and in this position you will learn how a busy finance team works within a forward-thinking and ambitious arts organisation.

You will be comfortable with using your initiative to solve problems, manage your workload and will have some experience in high volumes of data processing, not necessarily in a finance setting.  With good communication skills, strong numerical skills and some knowledge of Microsoft Excel, you will be interested in a career in charity finance.

Deadline for submission of applications: Monday 1st April at 10am

Interviews will be held on: Friday 12th April.
