The Museum of Science and Industry, a member of the Science Museum Group, is seeking a new Explainer Team Leader to work with our Learning and Public Programmes team.
Located on the historic site of the world’s oldest surviving passenger railway station, housed in five listed buildings – the Museum of Science & Industry in Manchester tells the story of the city’s scientific and industrial past, present and future. The site has 15 permanent galleries, an ever-changing range of special exhibitions, and an exciting calendar of events that combine to attract up to 700,000 visitors each year.
We are looking to recruit an Explainer Team Leader on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have strong experience of leading and motivating teams to ensure the creation and delivery of high quality life enhancing learning experiences to a wide range of audiences. With experience in operating historic working machinery in an interpretation environment, you will have a deep understanding of safe operations and staffing for a busy learning and public programmes department.
