Evaluation Partner – Our Shared Cultural Heritage Youth Project, British Council

Evaluation Opportunity on Youth-led South Asian Heritage Project.

The Our Shared Cultural Heritage (OSCH) project is requesting proposals for Evaluation work for the three year project.

OSCH is a UK-based initiative to test and evaluate new, sustainable models for heritage and youth organisations to better use cultural heritage as tool to engage young people from the South Asian diaspora and their peers. To deliver this project, British Council is working in partnership with Glasgow Life, Manchester Museums and Galleries, Rathbone Training, and UK Youth. It is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund’s Kick the Dust programme, a £10 million grants programme for ambitious youth-focused projects that transform how heritage organisations engage with young people aged 11-25.

The British Council will be appointing an Evaluation Partner to work closely with the OSCH partners and the Youth Evaluators to evaluate the project for three years  in both Glasgow and Manchester. This will include supporting both OSCH project and Kick the Dust programme level evaluation, training project staff in evaluation tools, submittingreports, and updating the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning framework. Youth Evaluators are young people  who will support project evaluation, who will be trained and coordinated by the Evaluation Partner.

Successful applicants will need to evidence strong experience in youth engagement and training; project and programme level evaluation and creative methodologies for research and data collection. As such we envisage that the successful tender may come from a partnership of researchers, youth work organization(s), sole traders and/or SMEs and would welcome joint proposals. The value of the tender is approximately £49,500 in total.

Proposals need to be submitted to isobel.cecil@britishcouncil.org by 9am on Tuesday 30 April. Submission documents can be downloaded from https://www.britishcouncil.org/arts/culture-development/current-projects/south-asia/osch-evaluation-partner.
