Art for Wellbeing Practitioners-Emotional Support Worker
Cartwheel Arts are looking to expand our Art for Wellbeing Practitioner Team to deliver our creative and wellbeing projects in Rochdale, Wigan and possibly North Manchester.
Each practitioner will undergo Cartwheel Arts, Art for Wellbeing Practitioner training, which we are currently developing as an accredited course. Practitioners will then be engaged on a freelance, project by project basis. Practitioners can expect up to 3 sessions per week, delivering/ supporting creative projects for people with experience of mental health issues. Each session (3hrs) is paid at £100 or £180 for a full day. Practitioners must be registered as self employed.
As an AfW Team Practitioner, you will need to share our passion for opening participation equally to all, irrespective of race, age, gender, faith, (dis)ability or sexual orientation, and for promoting the role the arts can play in social inclusion, regeneration, diversity and community cohesion.
Emotional Support Worker
ESW with a therapeutic background and experience of working with adults and/or young people with mild to moderate mental health issues. You will complete assessments with participants, support group dynamics and provide emotional support to participants who might be experiencing issues during the sessions.
- A registered Art Therapist, Counsellor or CBT Therapist (though you will not be providing these services specifically during sessions)
- Excellent communication and administration skills and ability to produce reports and Case Studies
- We are especially keen to to receive applications from individuals who also have an interest in the arts / experience creative environments
