Deadline: 5pm Monday 4 January 2016.
The Development Manager for COoL is a new role and has been developed to support the transition of COoL from a loose collective of small and medium sized arts organisations in Liverpool to becoming a strategic membership-based organisation that can really start to deliver on its objectives.
The post will be a part-time freelance position for an initial period of 12 months starting early 2016. COoL wishes to engage an individual with strong fundraising experience particularly in relation to trusts and foundations.
The successful candidate will have excellent communications skills and be able to think creatively and identify income generation opportunities. He or she is expected to be a self-starter, able to manage a diverse and complex workload and be able to work both internally with COoL’s member organisations and have the skills and experience to represent COoL collectively in a range of forums in Liverpool and in the wider city region and northwest.
The role will develop COoL’s relationships with external organisations and includes a strong element of resource development for COoL. This will be through a combination of collaborative bids, developing income generating activities, direct fundraising and engagement with external public and third sector agencies around delivery of contracts for services.
A priority for the post holder is to not only deliver against the strategic plan but to do so in a way that starts to generate resources for COoL that will support the longer-term retention of the Co-ordinator and Development Manager roles.
The rate of pay for the work is £135 per day (inclusive of VAT) up to maximum of 96 days, ie a total fee of £12,960 (inclusive of VAT).
